It appears that Tamiflu is pretty useless against avian flu according to a Vietnamese doc who has been treating avian flu patients. So all this stockpiling is really just lining the pockets of the drug manufacturers. It is not effective against the HN51 strain. So that makes one aspect of the flu pandemic "plan" pretty much ineffective.
