You Get What You Pay For

Every year the kids grow and need new white formal shirts. Dan and Mike both need at least one for band performances, and one for FFA competitions and usually a few other events come along that warrant a dress shirt. Try and find one in the grand metropolis of Norwich though! Of the few clothing stores we have, they all sell the same cheap white shirts. You can see right through them! The same really follows for casual shirts as well. You get what you pay for. When the kids go to parties they like to wear these plaid shirts with a t-shirt under them. So invariably, after I waste my time in Norwich, we trek up to Syracuse and get some real shirts. Van-Heusen is always a shirt brand that is decent and readily available so we usually get that brand.

My kids are at the point where dressing is statement of who they are. It doesn't matter that they are boys, fashion is still important to them, just on a different level then girls. Ask them to wear something outdated and they will refuse to leave the house. The color Purple? Forget it!

Those of you with boys, do you find that they are as fussy as girls sometimes? Or maybe even a little worse?
