Brass Faucets and Water Don't Jive

We have brass bathroom fixtures in the master bathroom and this is what happens. This is the faucet for the hot tub bath. Does anyone know how to deal with this? Brass cleaner does not work. If our water is that corrosive I'd hate to see my insides! If you have brass, please tell me what you know. We had a brass bar sink in the kitchen and we replaced it with stainless steel, because it looked so horrible.
