December Spinners Meeting

Attendance was down at our meeting because of the nasty weather but we had one brave soul trek all the way from Cortland. Normally it is an easy trip but not at night on some roads that haven't been plowed. Carla (link to her blog at right) tried her first wheel and spun like a champ....instantly. I have to say I've never seen that. We had three newbies last month and they were more typical, wheels going the wrong way, yarn breaking, frustrated yelps of "not AGAIN" and so forth. Last night Carla and I played show and tell which is always fun. It's great to see what other people are doing. Anyway she is hooked and is looking for a reasonably priced starter wheel. I had hoped to take pics of the gang but there was no gang so maybe next month.
