As you might have noticed, cooking and baking have been high on my list these days. Maybe because the holidays are coming and one just left and my fellow bloggers are posting my favorite foods! I am always on the lookout for a good recipe and I am a fan of quick and simple. The real cook in the house is Tom and to be honest Daniel is a pretty good cook too even at the ripe old age of 15. He has his father's ability to throw things together, never to be reproduced again. I cannot do that. I will tell you though that I am the better dessert and snack maker. And when I was down with the broken ankle and Tom and Dan were up at the cabin one weekend, Mike cooked me dinner, and it was a good tuna casserole. Which leads me to fish. We like to eat fish at least once a week. Does anybody have any good, easy, fish recipes? Mine are getting boring.
In an effort to organize my recipes I was happy to be given this site MyDish.com to review. I can store my recipes here for easy retrieval and I can get rid of the mess of recipes I have in my kitchen. I can even create a hard cover cookbook, however I see this as a gift more than something I would use. The communities look like fun and they are divided into groups and there is also a top recipe section. My favorite feature is the question area. I frequently need help and my mother-in-law isn't always available. Check it out.
If anyone has a good holiday dessert recipe, please blog about it and we can all link up to each other's holiday dessert post!
