Thanksgiving Dessert

Two of my boys decided to make a cheesecake for Thanksgiving dinner dessert. Here they are having a little fun. Actually Tom is in the picture. He's just being blocked by Mike being silly.




Which reminded me to mention two tricks I use when baking. When making muffins or cupcakes, I use a soup ladle to plop the batter into the cups. When packing brown sugar for measuring, I use a gravy ladle to pat it down. The angle of the spoon is just right and it works great!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I intend to spend the holiday finishing off some knitting and relaxing. We are also going to a surprise birthday party Saturday night (no she doesn't read this blog).
