Unethical Politics in our Plum Valley

Today is election day...so what better time to reflect on our small town politics. Here is a sampling:
In our Democratic caucus, a Republican candidate was nominated to run for town supervisor. The chairs of the Republican and Democratic caucus were held by a husband and wife. This weekend a "Meet the Candidates" function was held at the local Legion. The independant candidates were not invited. Fortunately that function was poorly attended. Maybe that was the people speaking.

The title of this paragraph begs a question. Is there such a thing as ethical politics anymore? Was there ever such a thing?
