I Smell a Rat!

That's because there IS a rat in the house and his name is Oreo. I have to admit he is cute. And you can guess why his name is Oreo. Check out those nails!

The biology lab at school has a few snakes, guinea pigs and rats (for the snakes). Mike fell in love with this cute girl and wanted to save her from being a snake meal, so the biology teacher kindly told Mike he could take her home. She is already used to being handled and is not nocturnal so she is a perfect fit to this household. If you ever slept in a room with a nocturnal animal you will understand why not being nocturnal is important! Needless to say neither Tom nor I were thrilled with the latest addition to the farmstead. But here he is.
