Well the Mets could have the dubious distinction of being the first team in the history of baseball to have lead by such a huge margin in their division, only to not win the pennant. I know it ain't over yet BUT, the way the Mets have been playing, and blowing sizable leads, makes you wonder. It's been so frustrating to watch. So much so, that I haven't. The pitching is letting them down. The errors are letting them down. Philadelphia is creeping ever closer. A bright spot in the otherwise depressing sky, is Moises Alou. He has broken a Mets record by hitting in thirty consecutive games! That is fantastic and he is no spring chicken. There is hope but it's getting too close for comfort.
