Please Vote to Help Fight Heart Disease in Women

On average an American dies of cardiovascular disease every 36 seconds. The American Heart Association has begun a campaign called Go Red For Women. It is a movement that was formed in order to increase awareness about the number one killer of American women and men in this country. Campbell's, of Campbell's Soups fame, is working together with designer Lisa Perry and singer Toni Braxton to promote this campaign. A red dress has been chosen as the symbol to represent heart health. Your simple job as a blog reader, is to vote for your favorite red dress that Toni will wear, to kick off the heart health movement. Each vote will raise one dollar for the Go Red For Women movement. In addition to voting in this worthy cause, the site has plenty of good information and tools to help those interested in helping themselves and others, in the quest for good heart health. For example, the risk factors that are in your control are listed. They are worth repeating here. They are high blood pressure, obesity, physical inactivity, high cholesterol and diabetes. In actual fact exercise will help with borderline or slightly elevated blood pressure. I know that from experience. On the site, you can take part in a heart checkup by answering a questionnaire. In addition there are recipes for heart healthy cooking, nutrition tips, heart disease facts and other useful tips and information. Please vote by clicking below:
