Cannot Grow Catnip

So I am having difficulty growing catnip. If you recall from a previous post I planted a bunch of seedlings all over the property. They are barely growing or the cats found them. I even managed to kill the seedling in the pot in the house! So this weekend I got some more mature plants from my son's girlfriend's father. The only place I can safely put them is atop the computer cabinet. These, I am happy to report are doing well. I WILL harvest my own catnip some day!
