A New Kind of Boat Surfing

My regular readers know that we entered the realm of vacation property when we purchased our cabin on Black Lake. We thought about possibly renting it out when we weren't using it. Kind of like Condo Hotels, but we ended up going up there almost every weekend and for two weeks during the summer as well. The extra income would have been nice to offset the mortgage and the electric bill. It's interesting how it costs just as much to shut off the power over the winter and not pay the monthly basic fee, as it is to just keep it running! Next year we will splurge for the phone too. Our cell service was very spotty. Wireless internet will probably be available too by next year. They already have it in the other side of the lake. Imagine, surfing on the boat. There's something a little incongruous about that though.
